Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling

I am a psychotherapist presently employed by the Irish Kidney Association, a patient organisation, based in Dublin, Ireland. I have worked in the area of renal counseling for the past fourteen years, both in Ireland and the United Kingdom. I began and ran the renal counselling service at Barts and the London NHS Trust from 2000 to 2005. I have also contributed chapters to two books on counselling people diagnosed with a chronic condition. I have given presentations in Ireland, the United Kingdom and at European level on psychological issues related to a diagnosis and treatment of a chronic condition. In December 2013 I was appointed Psychological Care Consultant for the EDTNA. This is a three year appointment.
